NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. -- Hospitality Marketing Concepts (HMC), the world's leading provider of travel industry membership and database management programs, is pleased to announce 2 major agreements with Pestana Hotels & Resorts and Pousadas de Portugal.
Under the agreements, HMC will be creating and implementing separate private-label membership programs for Pestana Hotels & Resorts and Pousadas de Portugal. At the same time, the two programs will feature reciprocal benefits, allowing members to enjoy recognition, benefits, discounts and value-added opportunities with both hotel groups.
In total, members will have access to benefits at 76 hotels, of which 64 are in Portugal. "The Pestana Group has 35 hotels under the Pestana chain, and also manages the 42 Pousadas de Portugal," said Lars Hansen, Director of Pestana Hotels & Resorts and Pousadas De Portugal. "We have been looking at opportunities to leverage the strength of the two brands and HMC has presented something that we feel brings synergy to the alliance yet preserves each chain's individual identity."

Both groups will also be participating in HMC's proprietary CLUBHOTEL(R) network. CLUBHOTEL(R) is a worldwide collection of high quality full service hotels that provide consistent room and dining incentives to members in 82 countries. Hotels will have marketing access to a worldwide membership database and the use of HMC's ClubCentral(R) CRM system. These powerful tools give hotels considerable marketing edge and flexibility to react quickly and capture incremental business in today's competitive environment.
